Sending Fee Waivers and Transcripts

Fee Waiver Confirmation Instructions

Registration fee waivers are offered based on need and are available to students who currently qualify for a waiver of SAT or ACT testing fees or for a free or reduced-priced school lunch program.

Fee waivers for transfers from two- or four-year colleges are based on a student's qualification for a minimum of $4,500 in Federal Pell Grants.

For a fee waiver request to be processed, an official letter confirming the student’s qualification must be sent by their current school to the NAIA Eligibility Center. The instructions below outline all of the necessary information to include in the letter. The student must register and select the fee waiver option before the school can submit a confirmation letter. The letter must include the student's EC ID number to be processed.

FEE WAIVER CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTIONS

All fee waiver confirmation letters must be mailed or faxed to the following:

NAIA Eligibility Center - Fee Waiver Confirmation
P.O. Box 15340
Kansas City, MO 64106
Fax: 816-595-8301

Students will be able to continue filling out the online registration form, but the NAIA Eligibility Center must receive this letter before they will be able to submit information for review.

Transcript Submission Instructions

For students entering their first year of college (either first or second semester) the NAIA Eligibility Center requires an official, final high school transcript that includes confirmation of graduation, final grade point average and final class rank. If class rank is not part of the official transcript, the high school can send an additional letter on official school letterhead confirming graduation in the top half of the class. This letter must be signed by the school's principal or headmaster to be accepted.

Transcripts must be sent directly from the school to the NAIA Eligibility Center. Those received from the student will not be accepted. Faxed or emailed transcripts are not accepted.

Official transcripts must be:

•  Stamped with the official school seal and/or signature, and

•  Sent in an official school envelope that is marked by a school official over the seal, showing that a school official was the last person to handle the document.

The student should register with the NAIA Eligibility Center and complete the academic information section before having transcripts sent. This allows the student to generate a personal transcript cover page for the school to include with records.

Grade point average requirements are based on a 4.0 scale. If your school does not use a 4.0 scale and does not provide an official 4.0 conversion, please use the transcript cover page below to specify what scale  is used, including what grade ranges constitute an A, B, C, D or F.

Hard copy transcripts  Should be mailed to:

NAIA Eligibility Center — Transcripts
P.O. Box 15340

Home-school transcripts For states that issue a Home School Certificate (or equivalent), an official certificate from that state is required (most states do not have a state-issued certificate). For home-schooled students in all other states, a home-school transcript is required.
GED certificate Earning a GED is recognized as satisfying the grade point average equivalent. An official, GED certificate must be sent in place of a high school transcript. GED certificates must be sent directly from the state to the NAIA Eligibility Center. Those received from the student will not be accepted. Faxed certificates are not accepted.
